Meet the Artist
Christi Burton
Hello there! I'm Christi Burton, thank you for visiting my website! I am a PNW artist, a mother of to human children and fur babies, a social justice advocate, zen lover, and social worker.

A little about me... I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, 5 minutes away from the roaring waves of the Oregon coast. I feel like I have a little salt water in my veins and nature is where I feel the most connected. I have been making art for as long as I can remember. I started with black and white pencil drawings as a young girl, with my focus being on portraits of people and animals. In my teen years a began creating pottery and dabbling in clay sculpture. After I had my second child I discovered acrylic paint and fell in love instantly.
Most recently, I have been creating digital artwork which allows me to play with drawing and painting techniques at the same time. More than a decade ago I planted roots in Vancouver Washington, which is where I still live with my family.

My experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter and Social worker drive my inner advocate, which often shows up in my artwork. One constant throughout my artistic journey is my focus on social justice, and the empowerment of women and girls. Creating artwork is one of my most valuable forms of self care and expression.

I hope that you enjoy looking through my portfolio and possibly feel inspired to get creative yourself! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by!

Take care,
